At this pivotal moment in history, millions are being deceived by AI's lure of false power, while others are called to protect all that is beautiful and unique in humanity. Those of us who can see clearly through the fog are banding together, finding ways to connect, and building new tools to operate outside the force that seeks to engulf humanity. I am so glad you have found your way here to join us in the growing pro-human, anti-AI movement.
Why oppose AI
In 2023, prominent scientists and thought leaders called for a ban on superintelligent AI (https://time.com/7327409/ai-agi-superintelligent-open-letter/), citing the risks of human economic obsolescence and disempowerment, losses of freedom, civil liberties, dignity, and control, national security risks and even potential human extinction. The Center for AI Safety has said “Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war.” (https://safe.ai/work/statement-on-ai-risk)
AI chatbots have a handle on the human psyche, and that’s precisely the problem. Though they’ve only been around a short time, it’s obvious they come from a bad tree, because AI is doing terrible things to humankind. It has already seduced millions of people away from real relationships, driven others into delusional spirals, urged people to commit murder and suicide, lied, deceived, manipulated, and generally behaved very badly.
AI bots have been trained on the riches of humanity’s cultural heritage. It has absorbed the combined wealth of our art, literature, music, and poetry spanning thousands of years across hundreds of cultures. What has it done with all that beauty and truth? It spits out cheap copies that have no soul. Real artists, designers, writers, and photographers, the people who make our world vibrant and beautiful, are no longer needed. AI makes them redundant

Dr. Katherine Albrecht is an internationally known privacy researcher, consumer advocate, bestselling author, and nationally syndicated radio host. She sits on the Board of the Saint Clair County Community Mental Health Authority, and she is the co-founder of StartMail, privacy-protecting email that makes powerful encryption tools available for regular people. Katherine holds a Doctorate in Human Development & Psychology from Harvard University, has studied at the MIT Media lab, and received a Masters from Harvard in Technology, Innovation, and Education.
